Dr. Charles Fuller’s Salvation Prayer Invitation

Friend of mine, seated by the radio listening to this broadcast, outside of Christ – God is not willing that you should perish, but that you should come to repentance. And if you will come through Christ, accepting Christ as your personal Savior, for He is the way, the truth and the life, and no man cometh unto the Father expect by and through Him.

He has been calling you, and He’s speaking to you, and right where you are out in the radio audience, if possible, just kneel by the kitchen table or in the living room or by the bedside. Wherever you may be, stop your car and pull over to one side. We want you to think of eternal things, that the soul that sinneth, it shall surely die. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, and to as many as receive Him, to those who receive Him, God will give the power to become the sons of God, even to those who believe on His name. Will you make the decision, out in the great radio audience?

Our Father, him that cometh to Thee, Thou wilt in no wise cast out. Seal them now. Take them unto Thyself. And may the Holy Spirit take the things of Christ and reveal them unto these who are accepting Thy Son, becoming a child, a babe in Christ. May they grow in the knowledge of the Lord and grow in grace, for we ask it in His name. Amen.

Dear Friend:

“The Bridge Illustration” is a wonderful and useful tool that helps explain the good news of salvation. It’s something believers can share with any person who “asks a reason of the hope that is in you, with humility and respect” (1 Peter 3:15). In order to “be ready always to give an answer,” let us suggest:

FIRST – Make several copies of “The Bridge Illustration.” Click here to PRINT

NEXT – Get familiar with each verse by prayerfully answering the questions yourself and reviewing them several times until you feel comfortable with your understanding and explanation.

THEN – Pray for an opportunity to present God’s plan of salvation to some spiritually hungry person He brings across your path.

What joy and fruitfulness you could experience in the days ahead. We look forward to hearing all about it!

I am doing research on the work of Albert E. Cliffe, author of the bestseller “Let Go and Let God.” Quoting from a biographical note:

“Al described himself as ‘a cold Episcopalian’ in his early years. All of this changed, however, when he was healed by God’s power of an incurable disease. The miracle occurred one day as he lay sick in bed. The radio had been turned on when, at the half hour, the program changed and the evangelist Rev. Charles Fuller came on. No one was around to change the station, and Al wasn’t able to get out of bed to change it himself or he would have. So although he cursed the situation he was in, he was a captive audience. As he listened to Rev. Fuller, he became interested in the message, gradually realizing that it was directed specifically at him. Then a phenomenon occurred. He said it was Pentecost in his room as he heard ‘like a rushing mighty wind.’ He was born again and healed from his incurable disease that day while hearing Charles Fuller speak God’s Word on the radio.”

I wonder if you have any information on Albert Cliffe in the Fuller Library which you can share with me, to assist me in my work. I have both his books, but am interested in more ephemeral documents, correspondence, and biographical information.

Dr. Fuller’s message on your website is clearly one of salvation. Did he also share an explicit message of Christian healing? [Often healing can occur just through hearing a message of the Kingdom, even though not explicitly aimed at healing.]

    Thank you for this,

    Terry Wedge
